The seat map is configured per ticket tier. To offer different seating sections with different prices, for example, a Front section at a higher price and a General section at a lower price, you create a separate ticket tier for each section, each with its own seat map layout.
Set up multiple sections
- Create your first ticket tier. Name it clearly, for example, "Front Section" or "VIP Seats".
- Enable the seat map for that tier and configure the rows and seats for that section of your venue.
- Set the ticket price for this section.
- Save the tier.
- Create a second ticket tier for the next section, for example, "General Seating", and repeat the process with the rows and seats for that area and its corresponding price.
Each tier has its own seat layout. Buyers see both tiers on the event page, choose their preferred section, and then pick specific seats from that section at checkout.
Naming your seat layouts clearly
Since buyers see the ticket tier name before selecting seats, make each tier name descriptive enough to communicate which area of the venue it covers. "Row A–D (front)" or "Balcony" gives buyers the context they need to choose before seeing the seat map.
Blocking seats in a section
Within each section's seat map, you can block specific seats, for example, accessibility spaces, aisle seats reserved for staff, or seats with obstructed views. Blocked seats are excluded from sale. See How to enable reserved seating for the blocked seats field.
