Reserved seating assigns a specific seat to each ticket. You can let buyers pick their own seat at checkout, or have seats assigned automatically after booking. Reserved seating is configured per ticket tier, not per event.
Enable the seat map on a ticket tier
- Open the ticket creation form, either on the Tickets & AddOns step when creating your event, or from My Events → Live Events → Manage Tickets → Manage on an existing ticket tier.
- Tick the Enable seat map checkbox, "Use a seat layout for this ticket."
- Additional fields will appear to configure the layout.
Configure the seat layout
- Enter the number of Rows in your seating area.
- Enter the number of Seats per row.
- Choose a Seat naming style:
- A1, A2, A3, alphabetical rows, numbered seats (e.g. Row A, Seat 1)
- 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, numeric rows and seats (e.g. Row 1, Seat 1)
- Optionally enter any Blocked seats to exclude from sale, for example, seats with obstructed views or accessibility spaces. Enter each blocked seat label separated by commas, such as:
A1, A2, B5. - The Seat capacity field shows how many seats will be available after blocking.
- A Seat preview renders the layout so you can check it looks correct.
Choose the seat selection mode
Use the Allow attendees to pick seats option to control how seats are allocated:
- Attendees pick seats, the buyer selects their preferred seats at checkout. Buyers will see: "You can select a seat at checkout."
- Seats assigned automatically, the next available seat is assigned after purchase. Buyers will see: "Seats will be assigned automatically after booking."
Multiple price sections
To offer different ticket prices for different areas of your venue, create a separate ticket tier for each section, each with its own seat map configuration. For example, a Front section and a Rear section, each with its own rows, seats, and price.
