A calendar file is automatically attached to every ticket confirmation email. Attendees do not need to do anything to receive it, it is included in the booking confirmation that is sent immediately after purchase.
What attendees receive
The booking confirmation email includes:
- A calendar file (.ics format) attached to the email. Opening this file adds the event to any major calendar app, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or Yahoo Calendar.
- Direct calendar links in the email body for Google, Apple, Outlook, and Yahoo, for attendees who prefer to add it manually.
What organisers need to do
Nothing. The calendar file is generated automatically from your event details, the date, time, location, and duration, and attached to every confirmation email we send. Make sure these details are correct in your event settings. If you change the event date or time, attendees who already downloaded the calendar file will need to remove it and re-add it from a new confirmation email or re-download their ticket.
If an attendee did not receive the calendar file
They should check their spam folder for the booking confirmation email. The calendar file is only in the original confirmation email, not in any subsequent messages. If they cannot find the email, they can also add the event to their calendar manually from the booking confirmation page in their ShowRave account, go to Tickets, open the ticket, and use the calendar links shown there.
