Coupon codes let you offer a discount on tickets for a specific event. You can create a shared code that multiple people can use, or generate individual single-use codes for specific recipients.
Create a coupon code
- In the organiser sidebar, go to My Events → Live Events.
- Find your event and click Coupons from the action menu.
- Fill in the Coupon Information form:
- Coupon Amount, the discount value. This is a fixed amount deducted from the ticket price at checkout.
- How Many (quantity), how many coupon codes to generate. For a General coupon, this is how many times the single code can be used. For a Unique coupon, this is the number of individual single-use codes created.
- Coupon Type, choose General or Unique (see below).
- Validity until, the date after which the code can no longer be used. Leave blank if you do not want an expiry date.
- Click Submit.
You will see the confirmation "Coupon(s) created successfully." The codes will appear in the coupon list for your event.
General vs Unique coupons
- General, one code that can be used multiple times, up to the quantity you set. Share this code publicly or with a group. For example: one code valid for the first 50 uses.
- Unique, a batch of individual codes, each valid for one use only. Use these when you want to give each recipient their own code, for example, sponsor guests, press, or individuals with a special allocation.
Managing existing coupons
To view, edit, or delete coupons for an event, click Manage Coupons from the coupon page, or go to My Events → Live Events → Coupons → Manage Coupons. Each coupon shows its code, amount, remaining quantity, and validity date.
