If you are not ready to publish your event, you can save your progress as a draft and return to it later. Drafts are available for both venue and online events.
Saving a draft
The event creation form saves your progress automatically as you work through it. A draft is created the moment you start filling in details. If you close the form or navigate away, your work is preserved and the draft will be waiting when you return.
You can also save explicitly at any point by using the save option in the form before the final submission step.
Finding and resuming a draft
- In the organiser sidebar, go to My Events and select Drafts.
- Your saved drafts are listed here. Each draft shows the event name and the last time it was saved.
- Click Resume next to the draft you want to continue editing.
- The event creation form opens with your saved details pre-filled. Continue from where you left off.
- When ready, complete the Review & Submit step and click Create Event to publish.
Other draft actions
- Preview, see how your event page will look before publishing.
- Delete, remove a draft you no longer need. This cannot be undone.
If a draft is detected when creating a new event
If you start a new event and a matching draft already exists, the form will ask whether you want to open the existing draft or discard it and start fresh. Choose Open draft to continue with your saved progress, or Discard draft to start over.
