The currency for your event is set automatically based on the country you select for your event location. You do not choose a currency directly, it is determined by the country.
How currency is set
- In the event creation form, go to the Location Details section.
- Select your event's Country from the dropdown.
- The currency for that country is applied automatically. Your ticket prices and any totals shown in the form will use that currency.
For example, selecting United Kingdom sets your event to British pounds. Selecting the United States sets it to US dollars.
What this means for ticket prices
When you create ticket tiers, the price you enter is in the currency of the event's country. Buyers see and pay in that currency. Your payout is also processed in that currency to your registered bank account.
Online events
For online events, the currency is still determined by the country you associate with the event. If your online event targets a specific market, set the country to match your primary audience.
Multi-currency support
Each event has a single currency tied to its country. If you run events in different countries, create a separate event for each market with the appropriate country and currency.
We support many currencies globally. For information on which countries are supported and how payouts are processed, see the payment and payout page.
