A private event is not listed on the ShowRave Explore page or any category pages. Only people with the direct link can find and buy tickets. This is useful for invite-only events, internal gatherings, or events you are not ready to promote publicly.
Set your event as private during creation
- In the event creation form, on the Event Details step, find the Is this a private event? field.
- Change the selection from No to Private.
- Continue filling in the rest of the form and publish as usual.
Once published, your event will not appear in search results or category pages on ShowRave. It is only accessible via the direct event URL.
Sharing a private event
Share the event URL directly with the people you want to invite, by email, messaging app, or any other channel. Anyone with the link can view the event and buy tickets. Anyone without it cannot find it on ShowRave.
To get your event's short link for easier sharing, see How to get your event short link.
Making a published event private
If your event is already live and you want to make it private, edit the event details and change the visibility setting. Go to My Events → Live Events, click Edit, and update the Is this a private event? field. See How to edit your event details.
What private does not do
Setting an event as private hides it from browsing and public search. It does not password-protect the event page or prevent anyone with the link from buying tickets. If you need to restrict who can purchase, use ticket quantity limits to control capacity.
