Refund eligibility depends on whether the event was cancelled, postponed, or still going ahead, and on the organiser's stated refund policy. This article explains when refunds apply and how to request one.
If the event was cancelled by the organiser
If an organiser cancels their event before it takes place, all ticket buyers are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price paid. The organiser is responsible for initiating refunds within 14 days of cancellation. If they do not, we may intervene on buyers' behalf.
Our service fees are generally non-refundable on cancelled events unless required by applicable law.
If the event was postponed or rescheduled
For a rescheduled event, the organiser decides the refund approach, they may offer full refunds, transfers to the new date, or both. The organiser must communicate their policy to ticket holders within 48 hours of the change. Contact the organiser directly if you have not received this information.
If you no longer want to attend
Whether you can get a refund depends on the event organiser's refund policy. Some organisers set a refund window, a period before the event within which refunds are available. If no window was set, the default is no refunds after purchase.
Check your booking confirmation email or the event page for the organiser's refund terms. If you are within the stated refund window, contact the organiser. See How to contact the organiser about your booking.
Free tickets
Free tickets have no monetary value and no financial refund applies. If you no longer want to attend, you can cancel your free ticket from your ShowRave account.
How to request a refund
- Contact the event organiser first, they are the party responsible for processing refunds.
- If the organiser is unresponsive or the event has been cancelled without a refund being issued, contact us via the contact page with your order reference and event details.
For full terms, see the ShowRave Refund Policy.
