An Early Bird ticket is a standard ticket tier with a lower price and a limited quantity. There is no separate Early Bird ticket type, you create it using the same ticket form as any other tier, and the name and quantity limit do the work.
Create an Early Bird tier
- Open the ticket creation form, either on the Tickets & AddOns step when creating your event, or from My Events → Live Events → Manage Tickets on an existing event.
- In the Ticket Name field, enter a name such as "Early Bird" or "Early Bird Admission".
- Set Available Tickets to the number of early bird places you want to offer, for example, the first 50 or 100 tickets.
- Set the Maximum number of tickets for each customer if you want to limit how many one person can buy at the early price.
- Write a Description noting the price advantage or any conditions, for example, "Limited early bird price. Once these sell out, standard pricing applies."
- Set a lower Ticket Price than your standard admission tier.
- Click Submit.
When all early bird tickets sell out, the tier will show as sold out on your event page and buyers will move to the next available tier.
How the quantity limit creates urgency
The Available Tickets count is the only mechanism that closes an Early Bird tier. Buyers can see how many tickets remain, which creates natural urgency without you needing to manually close it. Once the quantity reaches zero, the tier is automatically unavailable.
