Before you can scan tickets, you need to choose an event and download its ticket list to the device. This sync is what allows the app to check tickets instantly at the door, including when the phone has no internet connection.
Open the event list
From the Home screen, tap Scan Tickets. The Choose event screen opens showing all events accessible to your account.
Find your event
You can search by event name, workspace, location, city, country, or event reference. Use the filters to narrow the list:
- All, all accessible events
- Personal, events on your personal organiser account
- Organisation, events inside an organisation workspace
- Ready, events already synced and ready to scan
- Needs synchronisation, events that need a fresh sync
You can also sort by event date, name, ticket count, or date of last synchronisation.
Sync the event
- Tap the event you want to scan for. A tick appears on selected events.
- Tap Synchronise and scan.
- The app downloads the event's ticket list to this device. Keep the app open until synchronisation completes.
Once synced, the event is marked Ready and the sync is valid for a set period. The expiry date is shown on the event card as "Valid until: {date}".
Large events
If an event has a very large number of tickets, the app will ask you to scope the download before syncing. You can choose either:
- Purchase date range, download tickets purchased within a date range
- Seat rows, download tickets assigned to specific seat rows (for seated events)
Scoping ensures the device only downloads the portion of the event relevant to the gate you are managing.
Gate alias
On the event card you can add or edit a gate alias, a short name for the scanning point you are managing, such as VIP Door or Gate B. This label is stored on the device and appears in your event context.
Door dashboard
After selecting a synced event, the app shows a door dashboard with four counts: Scanned, Admitted, Remaining, and Saved (scans waiting to upload). This updates as you scan.
Uploading saved scans before syncing again
If the device has offline scans waiting to upload, the event list will prompt you to upload them before syncing a new version. Tap Upload saved scans first, then resync.
