Scanning & Check-in

How to Configure Scanner Settings

Created: Today

The Settings screen lets you configure the device label, protect saved ticket data with your phone lock, change the display language, and sign out.

Open Settings

From the Home screen, tap Settings.

Gate device name

Under Scanner device, you can set a Gate device name for this phone. This label is stored on the device and helps identify which phone is which when you have multiple scanning devices at an event, for example, Main Entrance, Side Gate, or VIP Door. Tap Save after editing.

App lock

Under App lock, enable Enable device lock to protect the saved ticket data on this phone with your device's biometrics or screen lock (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or PIN). When enabled, the app asks for authentication when you open it after a period of inactivity.

If your phone does not have a lock set up, the option shows: "Device authentication is not available on this phone. Set up Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or a screen lock in phone settings to use it."

Night mode

Toggle Night mode to switch the app to a darker surface. Useful in low-light venues.

Language

Tap the language option to change the app language. The language is stored on this device only, it does not change your account language. Signing out keeps the language you have set.

Clear app data

Tap Clear app data to remove synced ticket lists, scans waiting to upload, and deleted history from this device. A confirmation message states: "This removes synchronised tickets, scans waiting to upload, and deleted history from this device." This does not delete scan records from our servers.

Sign out

Tap Sign out to sign out of the scanner. The app language is kept. Signing back in with the same account picks up where you left off. Signing in with a different account removes the synced tickets and saved scans from this device.
