Scanning & Check-in

How to Scan Tickets at the Door

Created: Today

Once you have chosen and synced an event, you can start scanning. The app checks each ticket against the downloaded list instantly, no internet connection needed at the moment of scan.

Open the scanner

From the Home screen, tap Scan Tickets, choose your synced event, then tap Scan or Open selected. The camera screen opens with a large scanning frame and the instruction: "Point the camera at the ticket QR code, and please hold the phone steady."

Scanning a ticket

  1. Ask the attendee to show their ticket QR code, on their phone screen or as a printout.
  2. Point the camera at the code and hold it inside the frame. The app detects the code automatically.
  3. A brief "QR detected" feedback appears, then the result opens immediately.

Use the Flashlight button at the bottom of the camera screen if the venue is dark.

Scan results

Each scan shows one of four statuses:

  • Ticket valid, the ticket is genuine and has not been admitted. Tap Admit Ticket to record the entry.
  • Admitted, this ticket has already been admitted (by this device or another device on the same event).
  • Ticket expired, the ticket exists but is no longer valid.
  • Ticket invalid / Needs attention, the ticket could not be verified or does not match the synced event.

Admitting a ticket

When a ticket shows Ticket valid, tap Admit Ticket to mark the attendee as admitted. The result updates to Admitted.

In Door mode (the default at the entrance), the result view is kept minimal for speed. Tap View details to see the full ticket information, event name, date, time, ticket type, seat, and reference.

Continue scanning

Tap Scan Another to return to the camera and check the next attendee.

If the camera cannot read the code

Use Manual scan from the Home screen to type or paste the ticket reference directly. See How to use manual scan.
