How to Cancel Your Event

Cancelling an event removes it from public view and notifies your attendees. This action cannot be undone, so confirm your event details before proceeding.

Cancel your event

  1. In the organiser sidebar, go to My Events → Live Events.
  2. Find the event you want to cancel.
  3. Click Delete on the event card.
  4. A confirmation prompt will appear: "Are you sure you want to delete this event and notify attendees?"
  5. Confirm the action.

Your event will be removed and your attendees will receive a notification.

Before you cancel

  • Refunds: Cancelling the event does not automatically refund tickets. Refund processing is handled separately. If you need to issue refunds, contact us via the contact page before or after cancelling.
  • Message your attendees first: It is good practice to send your attendees a message explaining the cancellation before removing the event, particularly if they need to make travel or other arrangements. See How to message your attendees.
  • Rescheduling instead of cancelling: If you need to change the date, consider editing the event details rather than cancelling. See How to postpone or reschedule your event.
