You can send a message to everyone who has bought a ticket to your event directly from the organiser dashboard. A reminder sent the night before typically includes the venue address, start time, what to bring, and any final instructions.
Send a message to your event attendees
- In the organiser sidebar, go to Marketing and click Messages.
- Click New message.
- Enter a subject in the Subject field, for example, "Tonight's event: what you need to know".
- Write your message in the Message area. You can use the toolbar to format text, add bullet points, or include links.
- Check the Audience section. When composing for a specific event, this will show Event attendees, meaning every buyer who holds a valid ticket for that event will receive the message.
- Click Submit.
The message is queued and sent to all qualifying attendees by email.
What to include in a pre-event reminder
- Event date, time, and doors-open time
- Full venue address and parking or transport notes
- Any dress code, age restrictions, or items to bring
- What to expect when arriving, for example, whether to show the QR code on their phone or a printout
- A contact point if attendees have last-minute questions
When to send it
Most organisers send a reminder the evening before or the morning of the event. Avoid sending it too far in advance, a message sent two weeks early will be forgotten. Avoid sending it too close to the start time if your attendees may need time to travel or make arrangements.
Checking delivery
After submitting, you can view the message status from the Messages section in the sidebar. The Message queue shows messages that have been submitted and their current delivery status.
